Govt Scheme Help is a privately run information website. We collect details of welfare schemes run by the central government and by state governments in India, and lay them out in one place, in plain language, so that a person can see in a few minutes whether a scheme is likely to apply to them.
Why this site exists
Scheme information is published across many different government departments and portals, in many different formats. Someone who needs help often has to read several pages, in several places, before they can tell whether they qualify. We read those official sources and rewrite what they say in a consistent shape: who a scheme is for, what it gives, what papers are needed, and how to apply.
We are not a government body
This site is not run by, endorsed by, or affiliated with any government department or agency. We cannot process an application, check the status of one, or influence a decision. Everything here points back to the official source, and the official source is always the authority. Before you act on anything you read here, confirm it on the relevant government website or at the office that runs the scheme.
How the site is paid for
We earn revenue from advertising shown on these pages. We would rather say that plainly than hide it. It also sets an honest expectation about update frequency: how often we can revisit and refresh scheme pages depends on how much that revenue supports the work. We prioritise the pages people read most, and we would rather leave a page marked as needing verification than quietly present stale details as current.
Corrections
If you find something on this site that is out of date or wrong, please tell us. Corrections from readers are the fastest way we learn that a scheme has changed. Use the contact form, or post in the discussion forum on the scheme page itself so other readers can see the question too.
